This was my first (and last) foray into the world of total serial music. I think I was about fifty years late. But some people in the audience at the first performance really dug this piece. It uses some rock rhythms stretched beyond comprehension, and both whole tone scales simultaneously (as separate from the full chromatic scale). I would be amazed if anyone could hear that though.
