Sometimes when I get bogged down working on a big project I like to take a day and write a short piece for fun. I think it may have gotten a bit out of hand this time around, because I managed a three movement (although short) chamber symphony of sorts. In three days. Yeah! It’s called “Short Suite for Small Orchestra,” and here is the score. No MIDI this time around, because a) it has a fair amount of extended technique and spoken parts that I don’t want to take the time to program or record ten of my own voice, and b) it’s actually going to be performed here in London this summer. Maybe twice. Keep an eye on the concerts page for that.
