About Closer
Closer is a birthday present for my friend and longtime mentor Christopher Orion Rountree, based on my favorite hymn. It’s essentially a 90 minute setting of the hymn in question, turning it into a concert-length drone. It is for any number of any instruments and singers, and is best performed around a campfire.
