About Music for Art Galleries
Music for Art Galleries is a catch-all name for my solo set. It’s variable, as live sets tend to be, but usually includes Barnes Ryken, Gone to the Other Shore (rearranged for guitar), On Geology, and a few other pieces, with some improvised sections for guitar.
Sometimes friends join in. On May 5, for instance, I’m playing the solo set but have a few chamber works as well, and will be joined by a bunch of other musicians for two large ensemble pieces.
I got the name after performing at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, providing a live soundtrack for people spending an afternoon in a gallery.
